Front Cover Draft

This is my first draft of my indie magazine 'Upfront'.  I chose this title as it relates to being upfront at a gig/concert . The colour scheme i have used are the same as the colours of the union jack, which  relates to the model in the image as she is British.  I have also chosen these colours because they will attract both male and female readers. Therefore attracting a broader audience, rather than just using colours that are predominately associated with males and females. The fonts i have used are simple and easy to read so they can stand out against the blurred background which i manipulated in photoshop. My model is wearing brogues, and has long wavy hair. The vintage clothes are linked with stereotypes of indie people. I have advertised free posters and the chance to win Reading and Leeds tickets on my cover which will give readers an insentive to pick up the magazine and buy it, because they are getting something free with it. Which relates to my targeted audience as the are mainly students and have little money.
